1983; Two Guys, A Girl, and A Bunch of Pixels Were Born

Since the late '80s these two creative minds have been inseperable. Together, they make a team not unlike Kirk and Spock, Charles being the cool and creative half of the team and Erik the calculated and logical other half. Sounds silly? This combination has formed the foundation of Pixel '83. Creative design and logical code come together to create appealing, thought provoking and distinctive design.

Headquartered out of Miami, Pixel '83 is a creative design studio specializing in building a web presence for your company. Their services range from website design, company branding, viral video and SEO Optimization. Young and motivated, they are an outside the box thinking studio, that approaches every project with the ability to translate your business goals into a concept that reflects your business identity.

Upon the forming of Pixel '83, the team felt one more piece was needed, and that's when Michelle joined. Bringing an added dimension to Pixel '83, with her experience and a Bachelors in Public Relations & Marketing, Michelle completes the team. With her vast knowledge of what it take to get your company out to the public, and the combination of two child hood friends, Pixel '83 is formed.

  1983: Erik was born and raised in the city of Miami, and growing up in the 80's and 90's saw the rise and fall of layered socks, to much hairspray and 8 bit graphics. Best of all, Erik remembers what it was like when he first encountered the world wide web. He recalls the days when he would sit by the computer waiting for that famous ring tone, followed by a gurgle sound, and finally the long beep. The internet has come a long way since, with high-speed internet and dynamic websites for many to enjoy.
  
  Erik built his first website when he was a teenager and remembers being floored by the animated GIFs, and scrolling marquees. Like the internet, he has come a long way thanks to the wonders of education. Erik's plan wasn't always to develop websites and software. In the Summer of 2008 Erik began his journey through college and rediscovered his passion for Software and Web Development. Erik is currently completing his Bachelors in Information Systems (In the Software Development track) with a foundation in Computer Science.
  
  

  The Team is Formed

  Knowing Charles since they were kids, and Erik's weakness in design, they both teamed up to form the foundation of Pixel '83. With the combination of development and design, the skies are the limit for what Pixel '83 can do. But still, one last piece was missing, someone who can take there designs and development projects, and help there cleints get there brand out to the public. Michelle finally completed the team, with her passion and knowledge in Marketing and Public Relations, there isn't much holding Pixel '83 back from doing great things.

  1983: Born in Fairfax, Virginia on a Marine base and hailing from the Bronx, NY; Charles’ formative years began in Miami.
  
  His creative influences come from all over the pop cultural spectrum. Freestyle bass music to Heavy metal, Dick Van Dyke to Quantum Leap. Charles’ tastes are eclectic to say the least. Design-wise, hip-hop as well as video games, play a major role; as well as healthy appetite for comic books. [current pull list] – hyperlink to a list of current titles I’m reading
  
  

  School life is where he met his future partner and hetero-life mate, Erik Fuste; they excelled in kickball and pencil fighting. They remained tight from elementary to high school, even when Erik had to change middle schools (districting constraints). In high school they were heavily involved in TV class where they found a creative outlet for their shenanigans. Charles was even awarded best short film for a statewide contest in 2002 [video link for egg movie]. Charles was mentored by his AV teacher, Mr. Sell, and pursued TV production when he enrolled in FIU for higher education. Majoring in communications, and also in international relations, Charles found video production and design to be his focus.

  
  

  Charles is a seasoned Video Editor, as well as having extensive experience in all areas of Video Production. Most of his social circle gravitated towards positions as creative art directors for major advertising firms. This prompted Charles to hone his graphic designing skills.

  
  

  Charles regularly designs and produces for small business and small bands, citing his "love for the art" as his main driving force.
